Mia Farrow's Brother Makes Alford Plea In Sex Case
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The brother of actress Mia Farrow has entered an Alford plea to two counts of sexually abusing two boys.
John Villers-Farrow, 66, of Edgewater entered the plea Friday in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court in Annapolis. An Alford plea allows a defendant to maintain his innocence while admitting prosecutors had enough evidence to convict.
Villers-Farrow was indicted in November after two men accused him of sexually abusing them when they were children.
The Capital of Annapolis reports that Villers-Farrow said he made the plea because it was the quickest way he could serve the time. He will be sentenced on Sept. 30.
Prosecutors say Villers-Farrow began abusing one boy when he was 9 years old and the second when he was 8. The boys lived in Villers-Farrow's neighborhood.
