MGM Proposes Entertainment Resort For Casino
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- MGM's proposed $925 million resort that it would build to house a casino in Prince George's County would feature a 300-suite hotel, 3,600 slots, 140 table games and seven restaurants.
MGM National Harbor released details of its proposal for a casino at National Harbor on Friday. It is one of three applicants approved by Maryland to pursue a license for the facility.
MGM also says it has executed a letter of intent for a $40 million investment in MGM National Harbor from Maryland-based Radio One.
The other applicants are Prince George's Racing Ventures, LLC, a subsidiary of Penn National, and Maryland Casino, LLC, a subsidiary of Greenwood Racing.
The state could issue a license by the end of the year.
