Metro To Stay Open Late For Redskins Game
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says its rail service will stay open late to accommodate Washington Redskins fans attending the rescheduled Dec. 30 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The game was moved from an afternoon start time to 8:20 p.m. because of its playoff implications. The game will decide the NFC East.
Metro says its trains will run an hour later than usual. The last blue line train to Franconia-Springfield from the Morgan Boulevard Station near FedEx Field will leave at 12:25 a.m. The last blue line train to Largo Town Center will depart at 1:33 a.m.
Passengers will be able to transfer to other lines at the Stadium-Armory, L'Enfant Plaza and Metro Center stations.
Metro says the extended service is funded through an agreement with the Redskins.
