Metro Says Weekend Work To Affect 3 Lines
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says weekend work on the red, orange and green lines will cause delays for some riders.
On the red line, buses will replace trains between Fort Totten and Forest Glen from 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Two stations, Silver Spring and Takoma, will be closed. Metro says customers traveling through the work zone should allow 30 minutes of additional travel time.
On the orange line, trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly and between East Falls Church and West Falls Church. Metro says orange line customers should allow between 15 minutes of additional travel time.
Finally, on the green line, trains will single track between Greenbelt and College Park. Customers traveling to or from the Greenbelt station should add about 10 minutes to their travel times.
