Metro Plans Blue Line Improvements This Weekend
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro has announced temporary service changes on the Blue Line this weekend to allow Virginia officials to work on the Telegraph Road bridge near King Street station.
The agency says in a news release that Franconia-Springfield and Van Dorn Street stations will be closed on Sunday and buses will replace trains between Franconia-Springfield and King Street stations. Normal rail service will begin on Monday.
Metro says customers who are affected by the temporary changes should allow 30 minutes of extra travel time.
