BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Medina Spirit passed all three of his drug tests before Saturday's Preakness Stakes, Maryland racing officials said Friday.
The samples were taken on May 6, May 10 and May 11. Testing was set up after Medina Spirit failed a drug test following a victory in the Kentucky Derby.
Blood sample testing was a condition of the agreement between the Maryland Jockey Club and trainer Bob Baffert in order for Medina Spirit to able to race on Saturday. Concert Tour and Beautiful Gift were also reported clear and eligible to race this weekend at Pimlico Race Course.
