Md. Woman Must Avoid Wal-Mart After Bleach Fight
TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A Lansdowne woman who pleaded guilty to a fight involving bleach and Pine-Sol at a Wal-Mart has been ordered to stay away from the store for five years.
Theresa M. Jefferson was given a five-year suspended sentence Wednesday after pleading guilty to second-degree misdemeanor assault.
The Baltimore Sun reports that Jefferson apologized for her actions during a hearing in Baltimore County Circuit Court. She was ordered to stay away from Wal-Mart, which her lawyer says he understood to mean all Wal-Mart stores.
Jefferson admitted fighting inside the Baltimore County store on Oct. 8 with Ebony Odoms. The store was shut down for several hours because of the use of chemicals, and 19 people were taken to the hospital.
Odoms was also charged. Her trial was postponed until June.
