RHODESDALE, Md. (AP) -- Fire officials say a blaze has heavily damaged a 40,000-square-foot warehouse in Rhodesdale in Dorchester County.
The fire was reported Wednesday about 3:20 p.m. the warehouse owned by Blackgold Farms. About 100 firefighters from 14 companies from Maryland and Delaware battled for an hour to bring the blaze under control. Damage is estimated at $600,000. There were no injuries.
Investigators say employees doing remodeling on an interior wall accidentally ignited combustible materials with an acetylene torch.
