Md. Troopers Plan DUI Patrols In Every County
PIKESVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police plan to conduct saturation patrols for drunken or impaired drivers in every county for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.
Superintendent Col. Terrence B. Sheridan says St. Patrick's Day celebrations increase the number of drunken drivers on the road. He says additional DUI patrols from the 22 state police barracks will help troopers keep highways safe. St. Patrick's Day is Thursday.
The additional troopers on duty will be on overtime and funded through a grant from the Maryland Highway Safety Office.
