Md. Starts Spraying For Mosquito Larvae In Marshes
MARION, Md. (AP) -- Agriculture officials have started spraying for mosquito larvae on the lower shore.
The larvicide operations started Wednesday and will be conducted during daylight, using a twin-engine white plane with red and blue stripes. The plane will fly from the surface to 1,000 feet.
About 600 acres will be treated in the salt marsh areas of Fishing Bay in Dorchester County. Some 1,200 acres in the area of Crisfield and Marion in Somerset County will be treated.
