Md. Ski Resort In Talks With 2 Potential Buyers
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- The owners of Maryland's only ski resort say they're talking with two potential buyers and hope to announce a sale or reorganization plan by early October.
Wisp resort owner D.C. Development LLC revealed the negotiations Thursday in a U.S. Bankruptcy Court filing in Greenbelt.
The group currently faces an Aug. 10 deadline for producing a reorganization plan. It's requesting an extension to Oct. 9.
The document doesn't identify the potential buyers of the western Maryland resort in McHenry. It says the resort owners are working with another party on a reorganization plan that would allow D.C. Development to successfully emerge from bankruptcy.
The owners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October.
