Md. Republican Party Opens New State Headquarters
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- State Republican leaders are ready to officially open their new headquarters.
Party members are hosting a ribbon cutting and grand opening event Monday afternoon at their new offices on Cathedral Street in Annapolis.
The move, from a building just around the corner on West Street, is expected to save the party $50,000 in rent, utilities and taxes annually.
In recent years Maryland Republicans have faced as much as $122,000 worth of debt and multiple turnovers in party leadership, most recently handing the reigns to former state Sen. Alex Mooney.
