Md. Psychologist Charged With Sexual Abuse Of Minor
BEL AIR, Md. (AP) -- The Harford County State's Attorney's office says a Whiteford psychologist has been charged with sexually abusing a minor.
The state's attorney's office says the investigation of Dr. David Schrumpf, 55, began after the Harford County Child Advocacy Center received reports of abuse from two children who were receiving therapy from Schrumpf. Detectives charged Schrumpf on Dec. 3 with several counts of sexual abuse of a minor and sexual offenses.
The state's attorney's office says the abuse allegedly occurred over several months at Schrumpf's Fallston office. Schrumpf is being held at the Harford County Detention Center without bail.
