Md. Police To Assist Motorists During Heat Wave
PIKESVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police says troopers will be looking out for stranded motorists as a heat wave blankets the area.
Police say troopers are being directed to assist motorists with disabled vehicles, as quickly as possible, on Thursday and Friday.
Motorists are also being urged to take extra precautions for their safety, such as bringing along plenty of water on their travels. Police are also advising drivers to carry a working cell phone with them.
Police say motorists should never leave their child or pet unattended in the car in the heat.
