Md. Police Probe Fatal Shooting In Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man near Salisbury.
Police say troopers were called to the area of Patrick and Keene avenues for a report of a shooting on Monday afternoon.
There they found blood and learned that a man believed to be the victim had been driven away. Investigators believe friends drove 24-year-old Dominic Jones of Salisbury to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Jones' body will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
Police say they continued their search through the night for the person or persons responsible for the killing.
