Gaithersburg Man Charged With 1st-Degree Murder For Shooting & Killing His Son
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (WJZ)-- A Gaithersburg man has been charged with first-degree murder after police say he fatally shot his 23-year-old son.
Wayne Matthew Price, 55, told police during questioning that he shot his son, Matthew Eugene Price, during an altercation.
Montgomery County police say the incident happened around 8:44 p.m. on Saturday. Police responded to reports of a shooting in an apartment parking lot in the 7900-block of Spiceberry Circle. Matthew Price was found dead at the scene. Wayne Price was arrested at the scene.
Police say they found the used in the shooting.
Wayne Price's bond review is scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. at the Rockville District Court.
