Md. Police: Inmate Walks Away From Pre-Release Job
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say an inmate has walked away from a pre-release job at a Hagerstown restaurant.
Police say employees at Bulls and Bears restaurant notified the Department of Corrections on Wednesday that 41-year-old Dion Alves violated the rules of his pre-release at the restaurant. Guards were sent to the restaurant, but police say Alves left before the guards arrived.
Corrections officials and state police have not able to find Alves.
