Md. Man Wins $1M On Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Hagerstown man is celebrating a million-dollar win in the Maryland State Lottery.
Lottery officials say Ronald Ashby, 62, claimed the $1 million prize Friday on a $20 Black scratch-off ticket.
Ashby recently retired from Allegheny Power. He says he plans to remodel his house and take a vacation with some of the winnings.
Lottery officials say Ashby bought the ticket at a Food Lion grocery store on College Road in Hagerstown.
They say there is another $1 million top prize remaining in the Black ticket game.
