Md. Man Told To Move Mailbox
CLEAR SPRING, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland man is being told to move his mailbox.
The Herald-Mail reports Edwin Shirk has been getting his mail delivered on Shank Road in Clear Spring for almost three decades but was recently told by the U.S. Postal Service he must move his mailbox at his own expense.
Clear Spring postmaster Lori Kriner says the road the mailbox is currently on is very narrow and difficult to navigate. As a result, the postal service is asking Shirk and two other people to move their mailboxes to the intersection of Shank Road and Big Poo Road by July 25.
