Md. Man Sentenced To 55 Years In Kidnapping
BEL AIR, Md. (AP) -- An Edgewood man has been sentenced to 55 years in prison in the kidnapping and assault of a Harford County woman in 2009.
Joshua Prince Freeman, 22, was sentenced Tuesday after being convicted of numerous crimes.
Prosecutors say Freeman and three others lured the victim to a location where she was carjacked, kidnapped and beaten while being driven around Joppa. A ransom was demanded of her parents, but the woman was able to fight back and was thrown from her car while it was moving.
Earlier, co-defendant Joey Lamar Bullard was sentenced to 30 years in the crime.
