Md. Man Sentenced For Assaulting Officer
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- An Annapolis man has been sentenced to four years in prison for kicking a police officer in the jaw after he was arrested for attacking his girlfriend.
Timothy Lee Styles Sr., 44, was convicted two months ago of second-degree assault of a law enforcement officer and reckless endangerment. He was sentenced Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Styles swung a kitchen knife at his girlfriend on Dec. 13 at their apartment in Glen Burnie. The Capital of Annapolis reports that he was taken to a local hospital after officers shocked him with a stun gun. There, authorities say, Styles kicked a police officer in the jaw.
