Md. Man Killed When Motorcycle Hits Deer
BISHOPVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a man has been killed when his motorcycle hit a deer in Bishopville.
It happened Thursday about 3 a.m. on Md. 367. Troopers say William Louis Engle, 39, of West Ocean City was operating his motorcycle when a deer crossed his path and he hit it.
The motorcycle slid across the road and Engle was ejected from the bike. He died from those injuries.
Investigators say Engle was wearing a helmet that does not meet standards required by Maryland law.
