Md. Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash
CHAPTICO, Md. (AP) -- The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office says a motorcyclist was killed when his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in Chaptico.
Michael Daisey, 43, of Chaptico was traveling south on Maddox Road about 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Deputies say Daisey passed a vehicle and failed to negotiate a curve.
Police say Daisey's motorcycle left the shoulder, sideswiped a guardrail, continued across a road and hit a curb.
Officers say the motorcycle became airborne and Daisey was ejected from the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at St. Mary's Hospital. Deputies say speed and operator error contributed to the accident.
