Md. Man Killed In D.C. Car Crash
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metropolitan Police say a Maryland man was killed when the car he was driving hit several trees and overturned.
It happened about 11:45 p.m. Monday on Interstate 295 near East Capitol Street. Police say Anthony Lawrence Emerson, 28, of Glenn Dale, Md., lost control of his car, which traveled onto a grassy area, hit several trees and shrubs and overturned.
Emerson died at a local hospital. The accident is under investigation.
