Md. Man Gets 84-Year Sentence For Burglaries
CAMBRIDGE, Md. (AP) -- A Cambridge man has been sentenced to more than 84 years in prison for 10 burglaries he committed in the West End.
Tavonte Johnson, 23, was also ordered to pay nearly $20,000 in restitution for the crimes at sentencing recently.
The burglaries occurred between August 2011 and March 2012.
The Star Democrat of Easton reports that Dorchester County State's Attorney William H. Jones said the long sentence should serve as a deterrent to anyone who would consider committing such crimes.
