Md. Man Gets 20 Years In Prison For Metro Shooting
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A Montgomery County teenager has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for providing a semi-automatic handgun that was used in a shooting at the Rockville Metro Station.
Tavares Harris of Rockville was sentenced Friday in Montgomery County Circuit Court on charges of assault and use of a handgun during a crime of violence. The 18-year-old was convicted in December.
The May 2012 shooting at the Metro station injured two people.
The gunman in the case, Kevin Nguyen, was sentenced last month to 25 years in prison.
Prosecutors say the shooting endangered the lives of innocent bystanders at the Metro station.
