Md. Man Gets 10 Years For Sex Trafficking Of Minor
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Federal prosecutors say a Frederick man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for sex trafficking of a minor.
Duane Mason, 36, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Baltimore.
He pleaded guilty to allegations that he and associate James Davis recruited a girl below the age of 16 to work as a prostitute last year.
They were arrested after an undercover police officer who answered an online advertisement gave the girl $200 after meeting her near a Gaithersburg motel.
Davis has pleaded guilty to distributing narcotics to a minor.
He faces the possibility of 10 years in prison at his sentencing Sept. 19.
