Md. Man Gets 10 Years For Computer Sex Crime
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Brunswick man is going to prison for using a computer to entice a minor to have sex.
Richard Woodward, 52, was sentenced Thursday in U.S. Distinct Court in Baltimore to 10 years in prison followed by supervised release for life.
Woodward acknowledged in a plea agreement that he used his computer to post advertisements on Craigslist seeking sex with a minor in late 2009.
He made arrangements to meet a Frederick County police detective posing as a 14-year-old boy at a Frederick park last January.
Police say they found child pornography in Woodward's car and home computer.
