Md. Man Charged With Robbery Try At Del. Pharmacy
BEAR, Del. (AP) -- Delaware State Police have charged a Maryland man with attempted robbery after he called a pharmacy and claimed there was a gas leak.
Daniel Rosado, 21, of Elkton, Md. is also charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He is being held on $55,000 secured bail.
Troopers say on Monday morning, Rosado called the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Governor's Place saying there was a gas leak in the shopping center and the store needed to be evacuated. A store employee called state police and when the man called again, a trooper answered.
Pretending to be a store employee, the trooper said she wanted to discuss the gas leak with the caller, and the man directed the trooper to the rear of the pharmacy. Rosado was then arrested.
