Md. Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Rap Artist
SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say they have made an arrest in connection with the shooting death of a local rapper last year.
According to court records, Dennis Mackabee, 29, was arrested Monday on charges related to his alleged role in a drug
deal that turned into a robbery and shooting. Mackabee has been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery County District Court on Wednesday for a bail review hearing.
Police say Franklin Amobi, a 24-year-old rapper who performed as "Frank Diggy," was killed on Dec. 27. Amobi was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 11400-block of Stewart Lane.
Detectives are continuing to pursue the man who they say pulled the trigger.
