Md. Man Charged In 3 Bank Robberies In 10 Days

BEL AIR, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say they have charged a Maryland man in connection with three bank robberies in 10 days.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office says the first two robberies occurred at a BB&T bank branch in Jarrettsville on Dec. 17 and Dec. 21, and the third was Monday at a BB&T bank in Fallston. It says the suspect in the robberies fled in a red or dark blue pickup truck.

On Monday, authorities found both a red and dark blue pickup truck at a home in Jarrettsville. The sheriff's office and Maryland State Police searched the home and found items connecting a resident there to the robberies, including a shotgun and a bag of money.

The sheriff's office says Lee Roy Peters Jr., 35, was arrested and charged with armed robbery and assault, among other charges.
