Md. KFC Worker Stabbed During Attempted Robbery
EDGEWOOD, Md. (AP) -- The Harford County Sheriff's Office says a KFC worker was stabbed during an attempted robbery.
Three workers were cleaning up at the restaurant in Edgewood around 10:45 p.m. Saturday and just as a worker was locking the door, the sheriff's office says two men forced their way inside. Authorities say the men, one carrying a large knife and the other carrying a gun, planned to rob the restaurant.
The sheriff's office says one of the would-be robbers stabbed a female worker in the left shoulder and then both took off without any cash.
The injured woman was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where the sheriff's office says she is in stable condition.
