Md. Juvenile Charged In School Bomb Threats
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick County authorities say a 17-year-old boy e-mailed three bomb threats to Tuscarora High School in Frederick.
Sheriff's Office Cpl. Jennifer Bailey said Thursday that the youth has been charged as a juvenile with 15 offenses, including arson threats, e-mail misuse and resisting arrest.
She says a tip led investigators to suspect him after a school administrator received a bomb threat Feb. 7. She says investigators then linked him to two other threats that were e-mailed to the school Oct. 11.
Bailey says deputies arrested the boy Tuesday at a shopping center near the school.
She says he had recently walked away from a juvenile detention facility in Montgomery County.
