Md. Judges Gather For Annual Meeting
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Judges from around Maryland are gathering in Annapolis for their annual conference.
The conference being held Friday includes sessions on understanding and managing conflicts in courtrooms, gangs, new and pending legislation, and addiction and criminal behavior.
The Maryland Access to Justice Commission will present its first annual Access to Justice awards to the Public Justice Center's Tenants in Foreclosure project and others.
The conference is usually a three-day event, but Chief Judge Robert M. Bell of the Maryland Court of Appeals says the economy forced organizers to downsize to one day.
