Md. Congressman Calls On Governor To Say If He'll Back Trump

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland congressman is calling on Republican Gov. Larry Hogan to say whether he would support Donald Trump, if he wins the GOP presidential nomination.

Rep. John Delaney, a Democrat, sent a truck with a large sign on the back to drive around the statehouse Wednesday. The sign includes a website address leading to a petition. It says residents deserve to know whether Hogan would support "Trump's hateful campaign," which is described as "antithetical to the values of our state."

Hogan has not said if he would support Trump as the GOP nominee.

Matt Clark, a Hogan spokesman, says no one wants to see the discourse in Maryland "devolve into the chaos and partisanship" of Washington. He says one would think Delaney would "have better ways to spend his time."
