Md. Child's April Death Ruled Homicide
COLUMBIA, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police say the death of a 3-year-old boy in Columbia this spring has been ruled a homicide.
Elijah Lajeuness died April 13 after his mother called police to report that he wasn't breathing. Police treated the death as
suspicious.
Police reported Monday that the state medical examiner's office has ruled the death a homicide. The autopsy report also revealed that Lajeuness had no medical conditions that contributed to his death.
Police say the boy's mother, her boyfriend and an 8-year-old sibling were inside the home at the time Elijah Lajeuness was found unresponsive. Police say the mother and boyfriend have not cooperated with the investigation. No one has been charged in the boys' death.
