Md. Bank Robbed Again By Drive-Thru Bandit
GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say a bank in Germantown that was robbed at the drive-thru last week has been hit again -- apparently by the same bandit.
The most recent crime occurred Friday about 4:30 p.m. at the Bank of American on Germantown Road. Police say a man wearing a black ski mask drove up to a teller window, announced a robbery and got an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was displayed and no one was hurt.
Police say the vehicle used in Friday's robbery, a beige or tan Toyota four-door, matches the description of a car involved in a similar robbery of the same bank on Dec. 13. Police believe the same suspect is responsible for both robberies.
