Md. AG To Announce Social Media Education Campaign
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler is planning to announce a social media education campaign.
Gansler says he plans to announce the campaign Monday as part of his role as president of the National Association of Attorneys General. The attorney general says the consumer education campaign is being launched in cooperation with Facebook to help educate teens, parents and others about how to protect their privacy while using social media.
Gansler says the campaign will be launched at a summit being held by the attorney generals association at the National Harbor Convention Center in Prince George's County. The summit is being held to explore strategies for protecting consumers and businesses from privacy risks while using the Internet and other technologies.
