Mayor's Christmas Parade returning to Baltimore in December
BALTIMORE -- The Mayor's Christmas Parade is returning to Baltimore in December.
This year's parade will mark 50 years of the Baltimore tradition, which was started by Mayor William Donald Schaefer.
The parade will start at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 3.
The parade will feature neighborhood and high school bands, the Morgan State Magnificent Marching Machine, Calvert Hall Marching Band, and the Marching Ravens - the largest musical organization associated with the NFL. And, don't worry, Santa Claus will be appearing at the end of the parade.
The 2.5-mile parade starts at Falls Road and Cold Spring Lane and will go through the Hampden community, along 36th Street. The parade is sponsored by community associations and businesses in the area.
