Matt Stover On Reasons Why Players Like Aaron Hernandez Get Drafted
Former Ravens Kicker Matt Stover joined the Vinny and Rob show Tuesday to talk about the Ravens offseason loses, the Aaron Hernendez saga, and ways he continues to be involved in the Baltimore community long after retiring from The Ravens.

Matt Stover agrees with the decisions the Ravens front office made this offseason with letting guys such as Paul Kruger and Dannell Ellerbee go. He believes there's no reason the Ravens needed to pay Kruger and Ellerbee the kind of money they got from the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins, adding, "the Ravens are better off" going forward.
The Ravens Ring of Honor believes the team can be a competitive team again this year when acknowledging as to how good of a job head coach John Harbaugh has done at bringing in great coaches for his staff. Stove also credited Ozzie Newsome of working the salary cap very well with bringing in great character players.
When asked about other teams in the AFC, Stover compared the Ray Lewis situation to the Aaron Hernendez saga. The two-time Super Bowl Champion mentioned how his great friend, Ray Lewis, once hung with the wrong crowd but latr took responsibility and moved on to improve his life.
Stover currently coaches young kickers and punters through a new video technology called Spark Motion.
