Severe Weather Downs Trees, Brings Huge Hail To Region
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Severe weather hits the region, bringing everything from golf ball-sized hail to downed trees.
In Harford County, a downed tree toppled onto a home on Walters Mill Road.
Firefighters say everyone inside got out safely.
In Baltimore County, huge hail fell in Cockeysville.
Thousands of BGE customers were left without power after the storm. The areas hardest hit were Harford and Baltimore counties.
Amtrak service was also suspended between D.C., Philadelphia and Harrisburg due to the severe weather.
After Tuesday, the heat wave will break. It will be in the mid-80s Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday through Sunday will see temps in the 70s.
