Update: Maryland Weather: Winter Weather Advisory Has Expired
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Brace yourselves: snow is coming to Maryland.
While it may feel more like April showers on Tuesday, things will change Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Temperatures on Tuesday will top out in the low 60s, but those spring-like temperatures will crash Tuesday night after a cold front passes through.
That front is bringing major changes to the state; as of around 4:15 p.m., western Maryland between 30 and 35 degrees cooler than eastern Maryland!
Overnight, rain will change to a wintry mix and snow in areas west and north of Baltimore. Temperatures will bottom out around freezing.
Expect one to two inches from the Beltway to the northwest parts of the state, but Baltimore residents will likely see less than an inch to right around an inch at the most.
Some isolated areas in higher elevations could see as much as three inches of snow.

Ahead of the flakes, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for areas north and west of Baltimore, including all or part of Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard and Montgomery counties.
Roads are expected to be slippery due to the wet, heavy snow for the Wednesday morning commute.
State transportation officials said they are monitoring road conditions and will send out plows and other resources as conditions warrant.
