Maryland Weather: Cloudy & Cool

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A very dreary weather pattern has set up across the state.

Low pressure that's developed along a stalled front to our south is sending clouds and rain in our direction.

The heaviest bands of rain are set up across southern Maryland but there's a chance for drizzle in the forecast across the state.

The thick cloud cover will keep temperatures from nudging past the low to mid 60s.

A few showers are possible tonight into Wednesday but most of our day looks gray and dry.

Highs on Wednesday take a tiny step up as we top out in the upper 60s.

Clouds are back in action on Thursday, and we could catch a few sprinkles.

Temperature will likely hit the low 70s.

More widespread rain and even a few thunderstorms are in store for Friday as a warm front lifts across Maryland.

In addition to triggering wet weather, the front will send temperatures into the upper 70s.

Plenty of sunshine and dry weather awaits us over the holiday weekend though!

Saturday, Sunday and Memorial day look mostly sunny with highs in the low 80s.

Not a bad forecast for the unofficial start to summer.
