Maryland Weather: Alert Day In Effect For This First Friday In February

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The freezing rain is very isolated and Winter Weather Advisories have been dropped except in western Maryland.

There is still the possibility for icy patches because temperatures will fall into the low 30s as our afternoon and evening progress.

While we will be drying out, any damp spots could freeze over and create slick conditions, so please be careful if you're out on the roads.

Things are also turning blustery. Northwest winds could produce gusts packing 30-mph speeds.

This will make things brutally cold overnight as temperatures tumble into the upper teens and low 20s.

Expect it to feel like the single digits and low teens.

Our Saturday will be clear and very cold with pretty much solid sunshine.

Whipping winds will make the highs near 30 degrees feel about ten degrees colder.

Winds calm Saturday night and by Sunday, we'll be in the mid 30s with a mix of sun and clouds.
