Maryland State Police Seek Driver Who Injured Trooper
RUXTON, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say they are looking for a driver who struck and injured a trooper during a traffic stop.
State Police say Trooper First Class Jason M. James was struck shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday while standing at the side of a vehicle. State Police say the 30-year-old trooper is believed to have been hit by the mirror and side of a passing vehicle and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say the vehicle, described as a four-door passenger car, possibly gold or tan, did not stop and fled the scene.
