Maryland State Police Investigate Cecil Co. Triple Shooting
PORT DEPOSIT, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say one person is dead and two others, including the suspected gunman, have been injured after a shooting in Cecil County.
It happened Monday night in Port Deposit, where authorities say a man inside a home on Craigstown Road shot two people during a heated argument and then fled.
One man, identified as 48-year-old Timothy S. Hammons, died at the scene. A second victim, Eileen L. Roland, was flown to a hospital with what police say are life threatening injuries.
Police found the suspected gunman nearby with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He's also being treated at a hospital.
The state police, who are leading the investigation, say they're not releasing the name of the shooter because the investigation is continuing.
