Maryland Retains 8 Seats In Congress, Population Grows By 7%, Census Data Shows
ANNAPOLIS (WJZ) — It seems more people are moving to Maryland.
New census data shows the state's population grew 7% between 2010 and last year. Maryland ranks as the 18th most populous state, up from the 19th slot 10 years ago.
More detailed information about things including age and race of the population won't be released until later this year.
Based on the numbers, the state will retain its eight seats in the House of Representatives.
