Maryland Moms Push Lawmakers For Gun Control
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Some Maryland moms want lawmakers to pass comprehensive gun control legislation.
Members of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America are holding a rally Tuesday in Annapolis to advocate on behalf of a measure that would ban assault weapons, limit magazine rounds and create a new licensing requirement for handguns buyers.
The state Senate passed the gun control legislation last month. The measure now awaits consideration by the House of Delegates.
Organizers say the mothers will also bring their children to participate in the rally.
