Gov. Hogan Gives Eulogy at Father's Funeral
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- On Saturday, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan eulogized his father Lawrence Hogan Senior during a funeral mass in Annapolis.
Friends and loved ones remembered the former Maryland congressman who served three terms from 1969 to 1975, and honored his legacy.

"No challenge was too big, and nothing ever seemed impossible, he often ran the races and fought the fights that nobody ever believed would be won, and win or lose he always gave them everything he had," says Governor Hogan.
Friends, family, and fellow leaders gathered in Annapolis to pay their final respects to former Maryland Congressman Hogan.
A tough independent-minded politician who in 1974 became the only republican to vote for all three articles of impeachment against President Richard Nixon.
"It is that very moment in history for which he is most remembered and most admired, history later proved his courageous stand was the right thing to do," says Governor Hogan.
Remembered for his dedication to public service, Hogan Sr's legacy lives on through his proud son, who was elected as the 62nd governor of Maryland.

A private burial is planned in Frederick.
Mr. Hogan died last week following a stroke at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
