Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan Says 'Considering' Run Against Trump In 2020, But Won't Launch A 'Suicide Mission'
GOFFSTOWN, N.H. (WJZ) -- Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan said he's seriously "considering" running against President Donald Trump in the 2020 primary while he spoke in front of an audience in New Hampshire Tuesday morning.
Hogan said since being re-elected, he's been approached by people asking him to give a run serious consideration.
"A lot of people have been approaching me since inauguration in January," Hogan said. "People have asked me to give this serious consideration, and I think I owe it to these people to do just that."
Hogan said that while he is considering a run, he won't launch a "suicide mission."

Off the stage, Hogan was asked for his thoughts regarding the Mueller report and criticized fellow Republicans for not speaking out.
"They're afraid of being tweeted about," Hogan said.
"It certainly did not completely exonerate the president as he said," Hogan said. "There was some very disturbing stuff they found in the report. Just because aides did not follow his orders is the only reason we don't have obstruction of justice."
Hogan added that the Mueller report won't impact his decision to run in 2020.
"It's really about seeing what people think out there and whether there is any path to victory and whether or not they're really interested in having an alternative."

Hogan said he's already visited 10 states with 16 more to go, but won't let his ego get in the way of common sense.
"I said before I'm not going to launch some kind of suicide mission," Hogan said. "I have a real day job that's important to me for people of Maryland unless I thought there was a path to victory."
Hogan was also asked about Baltimore City and the four-year anniversary of the unrest following the death of Freddie Gray.
Hogan talked about long-term efforts as well as adding what Baltimore is dealing with is, "not just a policing issue."
